My main interest lies in story telling. I find that in images and music, more than in purely literary works. The main reason behind that course of reasoning is that I don't think every story should be open for the mind to interpret. So many stories, for instance, are too horrible, too gruesome and too real to simply be depicted as being anything other than that. That's why I want books to be illustrated, so that they can help you to walk into an emotional direction. Beyond that point, I think shock value is an extension of ennui. It's also why I think physical music is a worthy equivalent to books; it is an amalgam of vision, colour, sound (and/or words) that forms a journey on its own. Realism is where my heart is, and yet even there I want romance. For me, it's not a way of forcing the image onto others, simply a way of approximating an atmosphere-born projection, and channeling that transmitted energy onto the physical realm. I just want my works to be beautiful, even if they show horrible thematics. I think the word artistry is pompous and I refuse to call myself an artist. Any form of "art", if anything, beyond the realm of personality is complete and utter BS. I'm also convinced that I'm not any good at it.
